Rinbun Dahan is a centre for architecture, the creative arts and a nature conservation. What I like about this place is the owners' support for Arts. The residency programme initiated by Hijjas Kasturi, invites artists to live there and produce their wonderful pieces of art. ] |
This shot is taken in Rumah Uda Manap. Originally a traditional village house in Perak built in 1901, the house was moved to Rinbun Dahan and beautifully restored to its formal glory.
It is interesting to note that this house has Chinese decorations on the outside walls and Malay architecture. A unique blend of cultural differences.
