Sitting on the five-foot way in Chinatown, enjoying a hot bowl of noodles as the lazy afternoon comes to a standstill. What a nostalgic moment!

This Chinese Portrait reflects the lifestyle of Ethnic Chinese in Malaysia and Singapore, not too long ago. The picture in the background is taken in my hometown, Penang. Natasha is dressed in a 'samfoo' (blouse & pants), which was once the mainstream clothing for Chinese women during my grandmothers' era.

This shot is taken by a medium format camera and developed using the dark room process. It is toned to this colour using Photoshop, which adds nostlagia to the photo.
