Cameron Highlands is a weekend retreat for many people to unwind from
the busy city. The cool fresh air and the vast nature allows some reflections.
This time my gals get to enjoy their vacation on the highlands with my
friends from PhotoMalaysia.
*History*
Cameron Highlands was discovered in 1885 by William Cameron (British)
during Malaysia's colonial rule. With its fresh mountain air and clear
blue skies, it was a resemblance of the British's hometown.

Old Smoke House
This is one of the pioneer resthouses built during
the colonial times, hence the Tudor-style architecture. It has been well-maintained
and the surrounding garden has received awards.

The Old Smoke House is one
of the pioneer resthouses built during the colonial times. This shot of
Chiffon was taken in the morning, surrounded by full blooms.

.02 Tea Plantation
There are 2 main tea plantations in Cameron Highlands.
The location chosen for the following shots is the Boh Tea Plantation.
The other scenic tea plantation is the Bharat Plantation. Tea cultivation
in Camerons was introduced by the British when they saw opportunity in
the fertile slopping terrains.

It was a cool morning, and we went to the Boh Tea
plantation to take photos of the sunrise. It was still very dark when
this shot was taken. The first "blotches" of light appears in
the horizon. Almond and Chiffon waited patiently for the sun to paint
with its first rays.

It's a wonderful dewy morning!

Chiffon tried to handpick
her tea leaves.

Picking the Pekoe leaves (first two leaves) from the tea bush. She sure
knows how to pick the best cos pekoe leaves are used for brewing premium
tea.

The luscious green valley of tea bushes. On the right side is the verenda
for tea drinking and enjoying a light tête-à-tête.

Relaxing on the fallen log.
Sitting daintily.

Watching the clouds dance by.... a peaceful luxury in life. It's the little
things that matters.
*Behind the Scenes*
In case you are wondering why my sunrise shot is from one direction, here's
why...the rivalry in "booking" the best spots. :D This is my
first time bringing 3 dolls on a trip, they are carried in the bamboo-weaved
bag which Chiffon was sitting on.
The sun was not spotted as it was covered by thick low clouds.

Mossy Forest
Mossy Forest is one of the scene for Malaysian's film, Puteri Gunung Ledang.
This tells of a romance between a legendary figure and a mythical princess.
Some think that this place looks like one of the scenes for Lord of the
Rings too. To me, the place looks like my imagination of Enid Blyton's
Enchanted Forest.
Here's Chiffon with the mossy background.

This shot makes me feel like she's a forest fairy.

The mist adds to the enchanted feel of the Mossy Forest.
